Be enchanted by bright turquoise-blue bathing lakes and enjoy the views over the Swiss Grand Canyon. Children love the Urban surfwave pump track in Laax. The Freestyle academy runs week long bike camps for children aged between 8 and 17 years old. Laax Rental offers a range of kids bikes and trailers. For those looking to progress, Laax School offers lessons on a daily basis for beginners and e-bikers. There are also skills areas at the base of both lift stations in Flims and Laax.
Family activities
Flims Laax Falera is a family friendly resort and Swiss certified family destination. For families with young children, there are 10 play areas across the resort including one next to Lake Cauma. The tourist office organises Ami Sabi Summer Wonderland forest outings where groups of children are taught about the environment though arts, crafts and story telling – simply register with the tourist office.
The Urban Surfwave for bikes, BMX, skate boarders and even go carts can be found at the Rocksresort in Laax. All sorts of equipment can be hired on-site including slacklines, stilts and pedalos. There’s also a playground with a sandbox, trampoline and table tennis. In the adjacent meadow children can play football, badminton or Boccia. For something more unusual, young adults can try an introduction to Air Track, Bagjumps, trampoline, Snowfex and Big Air at the indoor Freestyle Academy in Laax. There’s also archery at the Hubertus Archery Park, open to young and old marksmen.
